ASR’s “Music Man” Marches into History

No words other than “Hugh Success” can adequately describe our school production of “The Music Man”.  Under the direction of Christina Dunham, with assistance by choreographer Francesca Carillo-Vaccino, and Faculty members Mrs. Joyce and Ms. Maher, “The Music Man” was truly music to the ears of all who were fortunate enough to be present for performances on April 18th, 19th, and 20th.

So many individuals…and families…helped to support this production in one way or another.  Whether you helped supervise for a day or gave up part of your vacation to work days and nights on end, a heartfelt thank you goes out to you and your family…and so…thank you to the following families:

Affrunti, Arena, Allis, Banks,Capobianco, Coluccio, Dickson, Fakiris, Franco, Folan, Flahive, Jakobsze, Kasparian, Maccarone, Mitchell, Monaco, Marciano, O’Regan, O’Rourke, Patino, Paralikas, Rooney, Stanis, Al, Patsy, Bob Canavan of Gill Associates, and Msgr. Kopinski for graciously allowing us to take over his gym for days and nights on end.  Thank you All!

Third Graders "Wax" Eloquent (click on photo to enlarge)

Our Third Graders  recently took a "virtual tour" of Washington, D. C.  Each student made a replica of a public building or monument and presented it and a paper to the class.  By the end of the presentation, the students were ready to give their families a guided tour of our Nation’s Capital!  Pictured here are students with their elaborate creations.

Our 3rd grade students recently became figures from a wax museum for a day.  They stood perfectly still around the school’s cafeteria dressed as famous people.  When a visitor approached, the wax figure came “to life” and recited the biography of the person in character.   Pictured are the students in costume.
